Our journey begins in the Manhuelas region, where you will have the opportunity to reel in big resident browns and rainbows in the tranquil lakes, lagoons, and rivers that surround this majestic area. The crystal-clear waters reflect the towering mountains and lush greenery, creating a serene and picturesque setting for your fishing adventure.
  But our expedition doesn't end there - we will then travel to the stunning coast of Chile to explore the Rio Yelcho, Lago Yelcho, and the unique coastal river that winds through this area. For a change of pace, you can even spend a day saltwater fishing off the coast of this magnificent country. As one of the most geographically diverse countries in the world, Chile offers something for every kind of traveler - from the arid desert landscapes of the north to the bustling cities of central valleys, and finally to the wild and untamed Patagonia region in the south.

  In addition to its natural wonders, Chile is also rich in culture. You will encounter traditional cowboys known as gauchos who dedicate their lives to herding cattle across these vast landscapes. Local artisans share their unique crafts with tourists, adding an extra layer of charm and authenticity to your experience.

Location:  Aysen Villa Mañihuales region in the heart of northern Chilean Patagonia, on the banks of the Mañihuales River.  Then onto The coastal region of Chaiten, Chile
Season:  Mid-October to the end of April, where the best months are Dec, January, Feb and March.
Capacity:  Maximum of 6 fishermen

The Fishing

The Fishing... On our fishing trips, we float down the Mañihuales River in two different sections on separate days. Another popular river is the Hummingbird, which is a tributary of the Mañihuales. We also have opportunities for wading in various rivers and creeks such as Toqui, Pedro Aguirre lake drainage, Nirehuao, Emperador Guillermo, and others that remain unnamed. Our lakes offer an exciting and diverse fishing experience with options like using terrestrial flies, dragons, or streamers. Lago las torres and Pedro Aguirre cerda are two favorite lakes among our clients. Chaiten, Chile is renowned for its large rainbow trout population at Lago Yelcho where we also take our boats out to fish. We also embark on floats down Rio Yelcho and explore coastal rivers in search of steelhead. For a unique experience, you can even try saltwater fishing off the coast of Chile!
