Estancia Laguna Verde & Rio Barrancoso

ESTANCIA LAGUNA VERDE LODGE On the shore of beautiful Green Lake, stands Estancia Laguna Verde Lodge, ideally located to allow you to quickly reach all the fishing spots available all around our 45.000 acres property, plus what it leased to its neighbor to the east of massive Strobel shoreline access and roads.

The fully upgraded Lodge main building is a typical “Estancia house” accommodating up to 12 anglers per week. It has eight (8) single and two (2) double bedrooms all with comfortable “en-suite” bathrooms. We also offer single lodging and guiding for a special fare, if you require it.

Inside the house, you will be able to relax after a hard and exciting fishing day on one of our guests favourite spots at the lodge, its spacious living room overlooking Laguna Verde and enjoying a glass of excellent wine or a refreshing cocktail you can warm-up for dinner. This cosy room has a 42´ LCD TV with a satellite connection and a DVD player for your enjoyment. A fly tying desk is available too so [u3] that you can stuff your fly boxes with a new set of flies after missing many in the thousand rocks there are all around. Or you can go to the library and relax, reading great books!

To ensure you have all your fishing gear dried and ready to hit the waters every day we have built (two) changing rooms/drying facilities at the entrance to the lodge to use [u5] before and after fishing.​

​There is also a newly built changing room / drying facility located just by the entrance door of the lodge to use before and after fishing. We want to make sure anglers have all the fishing gear (such as waders, wading boots, rods, reels, vests, etc) ready and dried day after day.
The Lodge also offers visitors Satellite and IP telephone and free unlimited wireless Internet access. To avoid extra luggage, anglers can use the computer of the lodge. Windmill generators, and fuel generators as back up, guarantee the energy demands of the Lodge, providing electricity (220 volt.) 24 hs a day. Laundry service is provided twice a week if desired by guests, as well as any other special attention needed or wanted.
The staff at the lodge offers friendly and professional attention to create a cosy and hassle-free atmosphere to guarantee our guests have a truly unforgettable experience.

We understand that even on vacation, some may want to engage in their favorite hobby, so we have provided a well-equipped fly tying desk and library for those moments when you're not out fishing. And for complete relaxation, there is a newly built changing room and drying facility located just by the entrance door of the lodge. This ensures that all your fishing gear, including waders, wading boots, rods, reels, vests, and more, are ready and dried for each new day of adventure on the water. After several seasons of hard work, we can now take you along more than 25 km of the pristine waters of Strobel Lake.
The scenery is breathtaking and the fishing, out of this world! Wind can become a factor, so protected locations are crucial. You will be able to access many bays and protected spots such as Monsters Bay, Camelot Bay, Finger Bay, Moro Bay, Tasmania Bay, Sea Bay, Puesto Bay, The Aquarium and Dry Fly Bay, among the most famous spots. Fishing these sheltered waters ensures you enjoy outstanding sight fishing action even in the hardest of conditions.

BARRANCOSO RIVER“. Barrancoso river is, without a doubt, the best trophy rainbow trout river in the world. And by far, the best part of this river runs through Estancia Laguna Verde property… which means that ELV lodge offers the best trophy rainbow trout river fishing in the world.”

With a total length of about 50 km, it is important to note that only the last stretch holds consistently big fish, especially in the prime months. This last stretch of the last 10 km of this astonishing river, are the ones that go through Estancia Laguna Verde (both banks!), with our property ending a short distance from the last 3 / 4 pools of the river before it drains into Strobel lake.
Without a doubt, one of the highlight programs at our Estancia is Barrancoso River which is the one and an only tributary of Strobel Lake.

As mentioned before, this beautiful freestone river runs for more than 10 km through our Estancia in the single best part of it!!!! There are no other parts of the river like this one, and there are no other trophy waters like ELV waters.
