Photography has always been in my life, from my early years with the Nikon EM which my parents bought me as a Christmas gift at just 10 years old to today where I wander the world in search of the perfect light with all the modern photographic gadgets.
That first camera, my Nikon EM was the beginning of a love affair with the natural world. I spent my childhood searching for amphibians, reptiles and insects and exploring other hidden natural treasures and photographed everything that would stand still for just a moment This all happened in the heart of the city of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia. I was lucky living just outside the city and a wooded area just down my street where I could put my early photographic needs to work. Along with my desire to photograph everything that would stand still, a love for the outdoors emerged and the beginning of my sporting life was being developed too. Around early 1980's I had the opportunity to attend The Antonelli Institute of Art, Photography & Design, here is where my passion for photography really took off. After graduation I enlisted in the United Staes Army and studied photography part time while serving as a Physical Therapy Specialist. By now photography was a huge part of my life and my passion for the outdoor world was really starting to grow. I have had the opportunity to travel the world fly fishing and hunting in locations such as Argentina, Chile, Alaska, Belize, Northern Canada and so many other remarkable destinations and photographing all my adventures. While I enjoyed my travels and will always continue to wander the world, some of my favorite photographic subjects are what I discover as I explore own state of Pennsylvania.
I take great pride in being responsible for all aspects of the printing, matting and framing of my work. my prints can be purchased at Fine Art Shows, and through my website.. As of now, I am currently wandering the world searching for the next perfect image but I do have plans to offer photographic workshops both locally and locations around the globe.
My goal as a nature photographer is to show others that the beauty and magic of the natural world is waiting to be explored whether in our own backyards or across the globe. My belief is that we need to slow down and be present where we are to "see" and to experience the magic of the natural world. My hope is that in viewing my photographs, people will be inspired to be present, explore and learn about the wild places around them and appreciate the beauty in the natural world that surrounds them in their everyday lives.
